A growing financial services firm located in downtown Los Angeles seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions and plays a key role in supporting financial operations. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and compliance with company policies
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues
• Manage weekly and monthly payment runs (ACH, wire, check)
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and payment information
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Prepare accounts payable reports and support audits as needed
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement of AP processes and controls

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Experience supporting a financial services, banking, or professional services organization preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and best practices
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
